"Casual reader" ? You say that as if it's a bad thingy. Moreover, I'm not exactly sure what a "casual" reader is. I don't go to any sports page for a Hemingway novel. In depth knowledge of the stats and rankings of an O line when it comes to pressures, sacks, run blocking,holding calls, blah, blah-isn't my cup of tea. After all its just football. And yes it is quite obvious what issues there are with Gurley may well be connected to the line play, the play calling, the coaching, the passing game, and the price of hot dogs. Personally, I enjoy Plaschke because of his sense of humor, something I find lacking in the sports section of most all major papers. A "casual" reader? If that fits me then I wear that badge proudly.
