We're facing that 6-1 alignment every week now and one would think that McVay would have figured out an effective counter for it by now. I'm not saying I know how to do it but in watching that game Sunday night it looked like the middle of the field was pretty open for quick slants to a WR/TE or wheel routes to Gurley, along with just running through the A and B gaps. If they want to take away the outside zone running, let them! Call plays that take advantage of that.
I'm happy we're 3-0 and I've been impressed with the toughness and grittiness of our team. We've shown we can win a tough, close game in hostile environments, which is no easy thing to do in the NFL. It's just that our offense seems...off. Let's get it right this week!
