Can't read his mind but you can sure read his body language. To me he looks a little, let's say "de-fused" after a lot a of plays. Not a lot of emotion or excitement. Just goes out, does his thing, returns to the huddle or sideline.

We only THINK we can. That's in general about "body language." People are as wrong about as often as they're right when it comes to that.
Though when it comes to Gurley specifically, I never saw "a lot of excitement" in Gurley when he played. That's just not who he is. In fact I don't know why exactly I would be looking for "signs of excitement" in my RB.
Some of the best Rams backs ever were all low-keyed business on the field. That includes Faulk and Jackson.
