Nats will surrender that returner job pretty soon to Web. It's unavoidable, and Web is the smart type player the Pats would have on returns. Nats is not a smart player, and his return ability is hampered by iffy hands. As it is, keeping him cost us a better player IMO in Hodge so here's hoping it doesn't cost us a game, that they'll transition to Web sooner than later.
And the news that the Rams want to sign Peters... To me it is unbelievable. He's not a smart player situationally, not a great locker room guy, not a great player in this scheme, and lastly not the kind of guy I expect to produce after he gets a big payday. If that news is true, if they sign him, I'm going to be upset about it.
As things stand right now Long doesn't look like much. But I still have hope he can help them move on from Peters by pushing for some playing time as we go forward.
