If you really like one of out CB backups you can sway who we cut vs keep etc with an offer. Also if you really think someone can help your team in a major way you don't want to cross your fingers and hope if he gets cut he falls to you. A trade ensures you get the rights to the player you want. A 7th is worth that, a conditional pick even better.
All true, yet this kind of thing doesn't seem to be happening.
BTW I said Sean likes to talk, I meant Les likes to talk.
With Les there's less LESS talk. With Les it's more MORE talk. He likes to talk.
I doubt anything happens. Though I seem to recall having been wrong before. Once, I think, a long time ago.
