When it comes to your own personal health and the impact on your entire family I say F...the "culture" of football. Besides he even said not only was it for his family but for the Colt family as well. I haven't heard one iota of disrespect for the guy-not from his present or x team mates or players and coaches around the league. Indeed, just the opposite.

"you play until you can't" ? There have been so many players-way too many to list here-that left the game due to injuries even though they could go back onto the field but did so for reasons similar to Luck. "Culture of the game" is nothing more than what macho fans make up in their own minds.
