The fact that the Rams will be traveling some absurd amount of miles this season is probably also part of the reason most of the team will stay home as well.
Last year they didn't have to travel a crazy amount, no such luck this year.
If the veterans travel with the team, even if they won't be playing, aren't they still subject to team rules, i.e., having to stay at the team hotel, curfews, etc? Sure, they'll be in Hawaii, but their entire time there is not their own. If that's the case, I don't blame the veterans for not making the trip. May as well chill with the family at home and take advantage of a couple of days of free time in L.A. before having to report back to work on Monday.
