If the Rams have anyone on the roster capable of playing RT at a reasonably high level in 2021 then it wouldn't surprise me at all if the Rams parted ways with Havenstein after the 2020 season. If they do move on, though, I hope it's via a trade. Hav is a superior right tackle and is locked up for 2021 and 2022 for a total of $15.6M. [overthecap.com]

If the Rams have a cheaper option (Demby? Evans? Edwards?) then moving on makes sense. But if there's a team out there in need of a tackle then 2 years for $15.6M might be attractive enuough to send the Rams a 2nd or 3rd.

And who knows--that's 2 drafts from now. Who knows how many linemen they will have drafted by then. Maybe at least one each in 2020 and 2021.

Yes a trade would be nice, but they may bite the bullet even if there is no trade. You know all this so this is just me thinking out loud. By 2021 they will have both Goff and Donald on 2nd contracts...and there are only so many big contracts they can afford after that (I guess 6 or 7). Do you spend one of those big contracts on a right OT? If so, who do you NOT spend a big contract on since Hav already takes up one? Johnson? Kupp? Fowler? Peters? They will have more candidates than spots.
