I have little concern about either Boom or Allen, so they go to the back burner for me.
Everett sure seems likely to take that next step, so this TE pecking order is a matter of interest but of little real concern.
Gaines vs Joseph-Day might be the most competitive battle of all. And yet, it falls into the “nice problem to have” category, since both are likely to get lots of snaps and be quite productive.
Kiser seems all but a lock to be our 2-down ILB. So there seems to be little drama for that particular starting position.
Which brings us to Edge opposite Fowler. How many snaps there for Matthews? And how much does Matthews still have in the tank? Ebu? Obo? Or will someone else be able to step up or stand out?
The most unknowns are at that Edge position. And perhaps the most important and greatest impact on D results, as well. So, I guess that would have to be my area of greatest interest this offseason.
