I'm a 'b'. I think you are, too. That's really all I was getting at.
I don't have any problem with people saying he missed a wide open Cooks. Saying he was a decoy sounds to me like an invented excuse. No one has any idea if McV even does that on plays. I don't know why he would set up a guy as a decoy only and tell the qb to effectively ignore him and then in the 2019 off-season work on going through progressions more effectively and quickly.
And besides even if he did use decoys saying Cooks is wide open could just as easily be the defense figuring out he's a decoy and ignoring him. Which for all we know means that the whole decoy thing, IF they even do it, is just not a good idea.
So no I don't buy it.
