NFL will concentrate on growing revenues and the players get a cut. The negotiations are all about how the players cut will be distributed and which side has to take financial risks. The deal itself will either give more flexibility to the players or the owners and the percentage of the cut may be up for decision. As for fan friendly that isn't a consideration as the NFL will maximize revenues regardless of how much the players get and the cost to the consumer will continue to rise.
