That by me was a response to would he change up with a different talent pool. Actually that's a legit question. There are good coordinators out there who are less creatively adaptive to the talent they have and more generally schematic. I think it is actually fair to ask if McVay is one or the other or whatever shade in between.
Yes all good coordinators scheme their less talented players to be productive. But since the overall (idle, just talking hypotheticals kind of) question is, would you trade the Rams WR corps for another, my answer is yes. I would want one with an uber WR...I think that that would be MORE potent.
I just don't agree with the idea that the Rams WR combo is one of the best in the league.
I think it's a good one. So this is not a "it's great or it sux" kind of fan comment.
But would I trade it? Yes. Does that leave me sleepless at night with bitter regrets about what they DO have? No.
....
