I would say that applies to every WR Corp in the NFL. As for the 'to some extent'... that's where McVay comes in.
Preparedness and adjustment on the part of the OC and then readying your QB for this scenario tells the tale.
Tangent: McVay is one of the best at this, IMHO.... need to say that up front. However, he is a work in progress in this regard... with both success and failure exhibited in the latter part of 2018.
I don;t know. Part of what I see as McVay's learning curve is that he needs to go beyond the Washington offense he had and the reliance on 3 inter-meshed WR roles.
I don't think it's true of offenses that have the kind of receiver I am describing. That is no I don't believe what I said applies to all WR corps. I am talking about guys like Julio Jones, Hopkins, Michael Thomas, Antonio Brown--top of his class, next-level guy. You add that to the Rams (which is probably not all that possible or likely) and they are less vulnerable.
Not every offense has that obviously, and it is also the case that not every offense that has that is unstoppable. BUT add that
to the Rams specifically, and they are at a much greater advantage.
So if the question is, would you trade the Rams WR corps for another, my honest answer is yes. I would trade them for a corps that had a guy like that.
But that should not be mistaken for a complaint or as dismissing the Rams offense. I just don't see them as being automatically superior in this respect. But that is not some kind of disdainful dismissal of what they have.
