Fair enough. I've learned that we are better at recognizing other peoples mistakes than our own. I think I got that from Daniel Kahneman. Ever read his book, Thinking fast and slow?
Anyway, we are probably both wrong.
Fisher's offenses were in steady decline for years until they became inept. He was a dinosaur in that regard. If one just looks at the success his QB's had after leaving him and what Goff did once he wasn't saddled with him it's easy to rightfully lay blame at Fisher's feet. Fisher was not completely flawed but his ideas and implementations of the offense were historically bad and indefensible.
Steve Martin had series a of made up book titles, one of which describes Fisher and his approach to offense. "How I turned a million in real estate into $20 cash".
