Maybe he got a second opinion - or the condition worsened. All the medical reports are, even the ones we don't see are estimations of what may happen in the future based on other case studies. It's not fool-proof. I don't think medicine works that way.

Again - to pretend like a league-filed medical report is infallible and punishable if it turns out to be wrong is a bit naive

No one said anything about "infallible" and yes it is punishable to not report an injury. No one is "pretending" about either of those things.

I don't know if the condition worsened or not. If it IS arthritic, it could have, after the season. There's no news suggesting that it did though.

But whatever IT is, it's not a major injury to any aspect of the knee joint, because the entire purpose of getting an MRI is to determine that. They said there was no structural damage to the knee. That means no tears, breaks, deep bruises, or any of those things. If you are going to say they lied about that, I want evidence, not just speculation, because that's quite an accusation.

The Rams waited until after the season to make sure TG did not need surgery and then the result was, they said he didn't. I don't know what a so-called 2nd opinion would do to that--I cannot imagine a scenario where TG goes to a different medical team and reports back that yes they did find structural damage, and the Rams would then do nothing? What kind of---I struggle to think of the exactly right word, idiots? incompetents? jerks?---would ignore that if it happened?

I can't imagine a scenario where the Rams know that their star back, who they are paying millions in guaranteed money, would have a structural issue with the knee requiring surgery, and they would do nothing and just figure hey let him play would could go wrong. If he needed surgery then the only way they could ever get anything out of him and all the money they put into him would be to have him fix the surgical issue. And that's not even to mention that the "do nothing" approach would be horribly unprofessional, inhumane, and just plain wrong.

They did list it - knee injury. Out. Or limited. Or probable.
