And what one sees with one’s eyes is quite another.
My eyes are telling me that Brees is past his peak. He struggles with the deep passes. In fact, that was reportedly why the Saints traded Cooks away. And that was 3 years ago.
To be clear, I’m not claiming that Brees is over the hill. Just that maybe he’s losing his fastball. No shame in that at his age, certainly.
