as much as i'm thrilled with the Gaines pick, it's a long 1st year in the nfl. and i'd say this if the rams took any of the high profile dt's in the 1st round : a vet tag team partner at nt to couple with the draft pick is necessary to spell the draft pick and to mentor him. given what seems to be the available cap space i'm thinking Peko or Shelton. i can't see how Suh could be affordable.
