Bio:
Three-year starter who earned First Team All-Big 12 honors in both 2015 and 2016. Made 49 tackles (11 for loss) with eight sacks as a senior, the latter of which ranked fourth in the conference. Recorded 47 tackles (11.5 for loss) and nine sacks -- third in the Big 12 -- as a junior. Started seven games in 2014, making 33 tackles (five for loss) with two sacks, one interception and one forced fumble.
Pos:
Smallish college defensive end who displays himself as a terrific pass rusher. Plays with proper pad level, moves quickly up the field and shows speed off the edge. Easily changes direction, shows fluidity moving down the line of scrimmage and covers a lot of area on the field. Strings plays out laterally, uses his hands to protect himself and chases hard to make plays. Consistently focused on by opponents and creates opportunities for teammates.
Neg:
First-step lineman who is easily taken from the action by a single blocker. Average overall quickness. Primarily asked to make plays up the field and is inexperienced in coverage.
Analysis:
Carraway flourished in his role at defensive end for TCU and has enough ability to stand up over tackle in a 3-4 as a designated pass rusher on Sunday.Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/03/2019 11:28AM by Rams Junkie.
