You raise a good question. The Rams may be more conscious of wear and tear on RBs these days. David Montgomery had 695 carries/receptions in college vs Darrell Henderson's 494. They must have been sold on that big play potential. I was really intrigued by Henderson predraft more so than other backs after looking at video. He seems like that one cut runner that works well with zone blocking. Henderson will make you pay if you only play to stop the pass/Goff. Teams might have to play the run more if they worry about being gashed for a huge play. Montgomery might be more similar to Brown. The combination of Brown with Henderson mixed in might work well if Gurley is on the sideline.

On Path to the Draft, Bucky Brooks described Henderson as a top receiving back. He said he is like a back that NE would use in their collection of backs as a mismatch creator.

Next Gen Stats had Henderson as the most athletic back in the draft based on testing and production.
