Darrell Henderson pick makes sense on so many levels yet is seems like many want to just focus on the Gurley insurance component.
1. You always need insurance for your number 1 running back as they are always taking his and it is one of the most vulnerable position to an injury.
2. We already have 2 power backs as backups. Brown can give Gurley a blow and get tough yardage but he won't give you explosive plays.
3. McVay offensive cherishes explosive plays and Henderson can play with Gurley or Brown or as a backup and can present a big problem for defenses and get us out of the 11 personnel set
4. Love the idea of a change of pace making us less predictable.
5. Potential KR may not have to carry Natson who has limited value as a WR
What I really like is that Henderson should be on the field regardless of Gurley's health and can be an important component to the offense. Plus as a fan I think he is going to be fun to watch and root for. Every time he gets on the field I am going to hope the get him the ball in space. He and Everett can give us explosive plays and I think both will be featured and expected to produce.
