As far as Williams goes, he is a fit in a press man scheme and IMO the only potential press man shutdown corner. He has that rare combination of length, speed and fluidity. When he is engaged, he locks you up. The Rams aren't scared of CBs that don't tackle, see Peters, Marcus. And if the Rams are looking for explosive play, makers, he fits the bill. Only 4 teams met with him, there has to be more interest.
CG-J is a fit for the Rams simple because they have looked at every single other top S, from Adderley and Savage, to Rapp and Thornhill. Why would they not at least be a little interested? Maybe because he is my favorite I'm forcing a fit. IDK.
As far as why I like CG-J and Adderley is simply because of their well rounded skill set, their aggressive nature and the fact that they came from CB backgrounds. They are so versatile in where and what you can do with them it opens up all sorts of possibilities. Rapp is a SS that plays smart and takes great angles and finishes in the box with a thump, Abram is an old school missile going forward, but offers little in the way of ball skills, Thornhill is ballhawk that also was a CB, but isn't as aggressive against the run. Savage was as close to Adderley or CG-J, but he is gone.
TL;DR - I love explosive play, CB background, versatile safeties. CG-J, Savage and Adderley fit the bill more then the others. Will Harris is the lite version on day 3.
