When qbs are in that range it will still be the same percentage of the cap.
They say the cap in 2020 will be around 200 M or more. In 2021, it will be higher. I have seen projections for 2021 ranging from 218 M to 221 M. Those are projections so we don't know, but let's play with those numbers.
(Though the CBA is up after 2020 so who knows).
Looking just at 2nd contracts--last year Garappolo and Cousins were around 15-16% of the cap. (I said 12-15% in another post but that was not just about 2nd contracts).
Going with 218 M. If qb percentages on 2nd contracts remain the same (15-16% give or take), then out of 2018 M, that projects 2021 qb 2nd contracts as being in the range of 33-35 M.
But that's still the same percentage (15-16%). So yeah it could get up to 35 M but only if the cap goes up.
