If they lose Wilson for any reason then they’re screwed. No team can afford to lose their Pro Bowl QB in his prime.
OTOH, RW is gonna be expensive. Which will be a limiting factor in all of their future personnel decisions.
Rams will soon be in that situation with Goff, but good drafting can really help in maintaining inexpensive roster talent. Something that the Rams have been doing rather well, especially since McVay came on board. Seahawks? Not so much.
Finally, Rams now seem to be first choice destination for outside FA’s. Consequently, they not only get first crack at FA but they kinda get at least a bit of a break on the salary requirements. The double advantage of those last 2 factors can scarcely be overstated.
