You can tell where the Rams feel their needs are by looking at the number of prospects they bring in at a position.
After signing Weddle, I assumed that safety would fall down the priority list but that doesn’t appear to be the case. They’re scouting that position pretty heavily.
Interestingly enough, they haven’t really scouted CBs and definitely not to the same degree.
It’s still early though but it’s interesting to see their draft strategy start to emerge.
Yeah, I’m just spitballin’ here, too, but it’s kinda sorta looking like they’re feeling somewhat comfortable at CB based on their offseason visits, etc.
Could it be that they’ve already made the decision to extend Peters? Heck, and maybe even Talib? If so, although expensive, it would drop CB way down the needs list.
Good point on extending Peters. It is interesting that McVay just mentioned yesterday that they “absolutely” want to extend him.
Anything they say can be dismissed as coach speak but coaches have been known to use less enthusiastic than that when they are lukewarm on a player language when answering questions about future plans to extend/resign a player.
My current feeling is that both Peters and Talib will be back next year.
