Rams are in a great position with Goff....and his coming contract. imo

Goff is coming off the SB and two years of above avg play...now his 4th year will be a real tell as to what the future holds for Goff. He has everything he needs to thrive on offense and so if he puts up middling numbers and plays avg....he may get that 5th yr option thrown on him along with a lame duck - prove it again year in 2020.
The Rams are about to give a lot of money to Goff and have two years + the last 2yrs of production to assess Goff's value. If we got David Carr in this offense....I think Carr would do very well and is a much better athlete so the Rams have options if Goff kinda tanks or is ordinary for the next 2yrs. i think Goff will be the same and be kinda good/above avg and will sign a 30+m/5yr contract....but the Rams have the luxury to watch and make sure...which is a good thing!!
