The one year deals strike me as overpaying for flexibility. Given we have current year cap space we are able to not risk long term constraints(multi year deal on talent with questions).

Most teams, due to a lack of current year cap space, use future cap space to create additional current year cap room--through restructures that transfer salary to signing bonus money that is then amortized over the remaining contract years.

I like the one year deals. They are definitely team friendly.
