I hear you, man. There is truth to what you are saying. You are making me think of Greg Bell and Charles White after Dickerson left. Robinson plugged in both of those guys and they put up great numbers. I loved those teams. I wonder if it is a two-way street. I think great pass rushers make a secondary look good and a great secondary gives pass rushers more time to get home. I imagine a great back can make an offensive line look good and vice versa.
CJ is a FA. Benny Cunningham averaged 1.8 yards rushing last year and 3.2 yards the year before. He has gained 49 yards in the last two seasons, Alfred Morris is north of 30. Ajayi has bad knees too. I'd worry with both the #1 and #2 back having knee issues. It seemed like the Bears and Patriots wanted to get after Goff and were willing to find out if the RB could beat them. I'd like a back who could make them pay for that strategy. Running the ball also seems to help a young offensive line.
