So was Foles, Keenum, Bradford, even some people said Goff was terrible... until they got better in a better environment. They turned out to be be quality backups who could win a few games.

I am not a fan of Bortles, at all. But he's not necessarily been in a good position to succeed either, IMO. He doesn't need to be a star. The Rams need someone who can win a few games. That is not Mannion... who I was a fan of coming out of college... and was rooting for... but he just looks so lost and inspires zero confidence.

But if the Rams were comfortable with him last year, it seems odd that they would move on from him this year. Yikes.
