Whether those younger edge rushers are already on the team, or picked up in an edge-rush strong draft, this gives us a known quantity veteran pass rusher with the possibility of substantial upside from what we saw last year, with a whole year in the program.
At the least, it gives us time to develop young talent and know for sure what we have going into next year. Plus it keeps a talented, if underperforming player here for next year's legit SB run.
