And consider this---Brown was difficult to trade because although he was a star player, he was also a quitter and a malcontent. And although he is a top receiver, the league is loaded with receivers.
In contrast. AD was a known quality character player, AND the only elite level DT to enter the league since Warren Sapp.
If Brown was tradeable at all, regardless of the team he went to, then AD would have been mega-plus tradeable, and could have picked his team.
The bottomline: teams do not have leverage over star players, and so any thotz back in the old AD holdout discussion about the team's leverage over him was just not realistic.
