Right now I am feeling pretty positive about next year and why shouldn't we. We just made it to the Super Bowl !!!!
The offense may have one hole in the offensive line that Noteboom can plug. Plus we will get Kupp back, Gurley can get healthy, Goff will continue to improve and McVay is going to get better too. I also see Reynolds, Everett and Higbee taking big leaps next season. In my opinion the offense should be much better and able to defeat the Chicago/New England defensive approach that shut us down.
On defense a lot must still be figured out as we are going to probably lose Suh, Joyner and Fowler and perhaps Barron. Do the Rams have the replacements on the roster already? Are OBO, Kiser, JMF & Christian/Countess? Do we add 2 or 3 strong defensive players through the draft which is stacked on the defensive side of the ball. To we sign an impact free agent edge player?
Yes there are more questions to be answered on defense but Snead has show an ability to provide answers in shaping the roster. I think the roster Snead built last year was as good as any in football. I expect our roster when all is said and done will stack up against anyone.
So yes I feel positive about next year and I am excited to see who things unfold with free agency, trades and the draft. I think we are in good hands from a coaching and front office perspective and we should all have fun analyzing the moves the team is making to get us back to the big game.
