The helmets have been a dark blue base color for years, clear back to the 70's. The blue color of the helmet hasn't changed. It's the blue in the jerseys that has changed from time to time over the years. When the jerseys are a darker blue, it's a much more cohesive look. But when it's a royal or powder blue, it's mismatched. I prefer the darker blue in both the helmet and the jersey. However, if the Rams stay with the throwback uniforms, I wish they'd change the color of the helmets to match the blue in the jerseys. At least show us a prototype so we can see what it'd look like.
