That way, he has the motivation to put the work daily work in "knowing" this is his last year. Also, allows the Rams to prepare for his departure.

Added motivation, but at the same time, leading the team to finish a "GOAL."

It's a win-win for Whit and the Rams. I mean, $10 Million is a lot of $$$$.
