The loss has sunk for a while with me .
I'm still having problems with the 'why'.
Belichek is a great coach and I guess called a good game.
Listening to talking heads Cris Carter , Mark Schereth Shannon Sharpe and it seems to be rising theme the Pats really weren't that sophisticated or inventive Sunday so what really happened?.
I believe there is strong possibility that McVay just didn't want to change his approach in the second half believing only better execution would get the win in the close game.
It was a case of staying the course .
It just didn't work to the point of embarrassing result.
I also get it was a very reactive experience for Goff .
Given the calls/routes he had he needed to see the whole field and release it to a secondary or terciary receiver or thow it away.
Some in the media say besides running the ball they should have gone 4 wides.
Can't believe McVay didn't consider those things ....
So at the end of day I'm struggling with the fact that he chose to stay within some basic margins of a game plan that was getting blown up or couldn't create any flow or a spark to get the scores and production we needed.
I'm sure they will have a plan B and plan C next season because opposition will be emulating the Pats D plan day 1.
Get the new personnel you need, and add plays.
Be Ready Rams.
