I keep coming back to context.
Roethlisberger was bad in his first SB. Despite getting carried by his supporting cast way better than Goff was, BR rating was 22.6.
No one at the time said anything about the Steelers walking away from BR after that game for several reasons. First off, the Steeler won in spite of BR. And second, there wasn't crazy social media in 2005. And third QB salaries were not as big a deal.
The odds of the Rams letting Goff go are as close to zero as you can get without actually being zero. I mean, you never know about injuries.
So get used to it folks, Goff is your QB for many years to come.
