Gurley and CJ and they did that because they didn’t think Goff could beat them
The Rams stuck with the 11 personnel (3 WRs) and just like the Eagles and Bears they stuffed the Rams when they tried to run out of that formation.
Gurley is not 100% but very much a threat. He had 15 carries for 115 yards against the Cowboys. They didn’t even use him and still beat the Saints
The Rams could have beaten the Pats without Gurley
They didn’t think Goff could beat them and he didn’t. All you have to do is look at three plays. The miss to a wide open Cooks (couldn’t beat them even when the Pats blew the coverage) then the Cooks drop and next play int after he threw up a duck.
We don’t have to create things in our mind like Belichick knowing Gurley was hurt.
Just watch the game. The thing they were most worried about was the Rams run game. Take that away and this offense is dead in the water
