I don't think that is the case. The rams tried more runs on first down in first half and were not successful. Too many 3 and outs. When your time of possession is 20 minutes for Patriots and 10 minutes for Rams in first half I don't think you want to be playing hurry up offense and giving them even further advantage. Our defense had to be protected and using more clock time on offense instead of the hurry up style offense.

Also the announcers mentioned that Rams were still huddling up when clock hit 15 seconds denying Belicheck a chance to see our lineup and make adjustments over headphones. Despite McVay saying it was his fault and Goff saying it was his fault this was a team loss. Plain and Simple.
