He will get more credit that he will deserve over his career and with that comes accountability and accepting responsibility for his failures and that of his teamates.
I believe he simply did not have the weath of experience/foundation to fall back on to help steady him. Knowledge of our system is one thing but understanding and comprehending and executing with correct fundamentals in different situations is a real thing. A lot of that preparation falls on the HC and Assistant coaches.
