McVay caved to public pressure and it cost them the game. Goff did better in the 2nd half when he had a chance to make plays on 1st down and had the 2 touchdowns play opportunities missed, given one was his fault for seeing it to late, but the Rams could have had a pretty good 2nd half had these plays been made.
the 1st half, however, was a train wreck, and lots of punting, because the Rams gave up plays on 1st downs and allowed the Patriots to have all these pass rushing looks on 3rd down.
