The problem is that hidden in the minor premise is a third premise: the Patriots are the best team the Rams will have to beat all year.
Wrong.
The Rams beat the Saints, who I think were a better team (record certainly says so). We beat them in their place at peak insanity level. We did it largely without Gurley getting many touches. We can beat the Patriots, too, even without a huge game from Gurley.
I mean, Gordon Bennett, the Patriots lost to the Jaguars, the Lions, and the Titans... three team that
didn't even make the playoffs.
Personally, I think all this Gurley drama is just that. Drama. I think he's going to play great in SB 53. But even if he doesn't... we are far from "sunk."
