Sorta agree, sorta don't. Yes, CJ is the "hot hand" right now and playing well. And yes, Gurley missed a few plays he normally makes. BUT, you simply don't bench an MVP for a few bad plays. Did we not learn that lesson from the Kurt Warner debacle?
So Gurley had some jitters, but I also think he is injured. Not badly enough not to play but enough that CJ is actually the better back right now. Gurley lacked a bit of his normal explosion and speed in NO - watch the tape.
McVay is no dummy - he would not bench an MVP for a few bad plays but he also is going to go with the guy that gives us the best chance to win. In NO that was CJ. Sunday we will see, if Gurley is even 90%, he is the better back. It's not even close.
