that is the problem people don't realize. In this case I believe there were like 10 or 11 of the 17 runs like 2 yards or less.

Whiie his 4.6 yards per carry looked fairly good, the breakdown of those runs in more depth and the down and distance meant trying to run on 2nd and 3rd and runs. Most of the yardage came on a couple of carries. It was significantly below his 5.5 yards per carry he averaged from 1999-2001.

All I know is the best results came in the 4th quarter on the 17 passes and 3 runs by Faulk when they scored 14 points and if they had given up on the run sooner, the Rams win that superbowl.
