Maybe. Maybe not.

Goodell is the son of a politician. And he's proven to be a pretty political kind of guy himself (literally and in terms of skill-set). So, perhaps this whole, "We're going to have a committee to see if we should review PI" thing is a way to get ahead of the issue outside the game and not have to change the playoffs officiating status quo (for now). Maybe.

Or maybe you're right. We'll see.
