Gurley is still the main man. He might even have a great game, like I think he did against the Cowboys.

But I do think they are actively managing inflammation in the knee, keeping it to a minimum, so they'll have him for the next game.

So they are limiting his snaps, and they've got a reliable back in CJ to do that.

In the case of Sunday's game, since he was maybe pressing a bit early and having some struggles, why not go ahead and put CJ in until things settle down?
They were going to give CJ those snaps anyway, at some point in the game.

Gurley was back in later, making some blocks and a catch.
