Than I originally thought. People are not so upset about the non call in principal, but rather that the incident was at the end of the came. I actually talked to a Saints fan who was pretty upset, and get this, he said he didn't care about the non calls against the Rams (I mentioned the face mask near the Saints goal line) because the Rams at least got some points out of it.
That is completely illogical.
I submit that if the same thing happened to the Rams most of us Rams fans would feel the same way Saints fans do now.
I think you are right, ZN. I'm wired differently so they way I think about things usually differs from most people. I had already decided that I was proud of this team for fighting back and for taking the Saints (who are a championship caliber team) to the mat.
I drive my friends bonkers by always having a different perspective on things.
You're not being different. You're being like every other Rams fan. We all are proud of the team for battling back.
BUT if the non-call had happened to US, we would not listen to an outsider saying we should be reasonable about it.
Well no Saints fan is going to listen to you on that either.
As Rams fans we know what we know about the team battling back. Non-Rams fans though are only going to think of the non-call. We Rams fans will just have to live with that.
