There are many "football fans" who purchase season tickets and will root for the Rams until "their team" (i.e. where their allegiance is ) comes to play. So season ticket holders are not necessarily die hard Ram fans. A neighbor of mine moved here from Atlanta roughly 5-6 yrs ago. He loves professional football and has season tickets to the Coliseum (I've been with him more than once). He will root for the Rams because he now lives here. However, when the Falcons were here he was a die hard Atlanta fan. I am sure that a significant part of the Cowboy crowd Saturday evening had season tickets to the Coliseum because they live here and love to go to the games.
Unfortunately that is very true.... there are really only a hard core group of season ticket holders I would say of about 40,000..... the rest are casual fans who go to games that they can't sale or a matchup they like or their "other" team comes to town.
It's getting better and more and more of those bandwagon types are becoming true fans slowly but surely....people forget this team was gone for over 20 years and entire generations have hopped on to other teams, but the Rams are by far growing their fan base on a daily basis.
They were 5th this year in attendance and most games it's 80% Rams fans.....you're always gonna have those GB and Dallas type games here in So Cal.
I posted a video of the game on Saturday and you could see from the video that the place was packed and there were way more Rams fans than Dallas fans....besides the ones that sit behind the visitors bench they were pretty scattered in most sections. Still too many, but we've only been here three years...give it a few more year of winning and our new stadium will be 90% Rams fans on most games.
