Personally, I think it's worse than what they're saying. The rehab and whatever treatments he's been getting may be good enough for him to play next week but I don't believe for a second that it's been good enough to get him to 100%. We just learned last week that his left knee has been bothering him since game 1 and it's a situation which has worsened throughout the season until he couldn't play at all. That sounds like more than just inflammation to me. What I also find interesting is that what happened during game 1 was a non-contact injury, same as what happened to him at Georgia. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that Goff will need some kind of knee surgery during the offseason, if nothing else to maybe clean out some broken cartilage or something.
Your instincts may be spot on, Mama. I’m a bit queasy about Gurley’s knee, myself.
Hope it holds up for 3 more games.
Meanwhile, CJ is a helluva good insurance policy, huh?
