I think an argument could be made that we could have/should have beaten the Eagles. But the Bears just plain beat us.
Maybe it was the weather, but after watching Chicago handle Minnesota, I don't think it was as big a factor as we wanted it to be. I really don't think we match up well against their defense.
The Bears offense is just good enough to get the job done, and they make enough big plays to keep the defense on their heels.
If our defense was playing better I'd be happier with this match-up.
I'd prefer the Eagles to win.
Can't be afraid, sometimes you have to beat a team at their own game...Rams/Buccaneers 1999. Again, McVay is an excellent player caller and the 12 personnel is an advantage. Keep in mind it was 15-6 and Zuerlein missed a makeable field goal. The defense actually played well in Chicago, just needed to hold up better against the run and keep Trubisky in the pocket, where he's prone to mistakes...If the Bears beat the Rams, they beat us, but this team should not fear playing anyone.
