It comes down to everything that you wrote there. Even if the Rams play their best offense of the year, they won't go anywhere without dramatic improvement on defense. I'm blindly hoping that there are some schematic things that we haven't seen from Wade Phillips on defense, but reason is telling me otherwise.

Playoff games are tight, tense games not free wheeling scoring affairs. I expect the games to be like last year's wildcard match against the Falcons, or this year's game against the Bears.

The effect of every shortcoming, mistake, or miscue will be monumental.
