... is it's very difficult to key run vs. pass. Granted, McVay has made 11 personnel look difficult to key on as well. But since they have a guy like Everett that can motion out into the slot, line up in an H-back type formation, etc. it gives them some possible matchup advantages. Higbee is a good blocker and if Everett can at minimum be a guy that can block off the back side then running the ball from 12 can be effective, as we saw vs. Arizona.
To me Reynolds is a pretty good WR4 in this offense that has done fairly well stepping in when Kupp went down. But it may simply be a matter of the light coming on more for Everett. In Reynolds' defense, a couple passes sent his way that were picked or incomplete should never have been thrown. Like the Fuller INT vs Chicago.
